Quantiiv
PRICING & ELASTICITY

Raise prices without losing traffic.

Quantiiv's pricing software shows how sensitive your guests are to price, item by item and store by store, then builds a pricing plan that hits the ticket target you set with the least risk to traffic. Every recommended price comes with the reason behind it, and after the change goes live, Quantiiv shows what it actually did.

It is built on your own transactions, not surveys or industry averages. The same item can have room in one store and none in the next, so the plan is surgical: small moves where guests won’t notice, holds where they will.

What the pricing software does.

Measure pricing power

See how guests respond to price by item, category, store, zone, and channel, measured from what they actually bought.

See ranked opportunities

Every item and zone with room to move, ranked by how strong the evidence is, so you start where the case is clearest.

Build plans to a target

Set the average-ticket increase you need. The plan spreads it across items and zones where it costs the least traffic.

Keep your pricing rules

Price zones, allowed price endings, and product relationships like keeping a combo at least $1 above the items inside it.

See the reason for each price

Why $3.99 and not $4.25. The plan shows the options it weighed, so finance, operations, and franchisees can all stand behind it.

Measure the results

After launch, see flow-through, traffic versus basket, where pricing held, and where to watch, separated from what the season did anyway.

HOW IT WORKS

How you build a pricing plan, step by step.

STEP 01 · SEE YOUR PRICES

Start from what you actually charge, everywhere.

Open any item and see its price at every location, zone, and channel, across every POS you run, with the full history of when it moved. No more chasing price books across systems before you can even start.

  • Browse the menu by category and see where each price sits
  • Open an item to see its price history and when it last moved
  • Check Changes to see every price move by day, item, location, or menu group
  • See which price zone each location follows
  • Export current prices and the full change history to Excel

STEP 02 · FIND THE ROOM

See where guests will accept a price change, and where they won't.

Look at your pricing power by category, zone, location, and channel, measured from how your own guests responded when prices moved. Every read tells you how confident it is, so you know where to push and where to hold.

  • Sort categories, zones, and stores by pricing power
  • See what a 1% increase would earn, lose, and net, in dollars
  • Spot channel differences, like delivery guests being more price-sensitive
  • Check the confidence on every read: Strong fit, Good fit, or Emerging

STEP 03 · SET YOUR RULES

Tell it how your prices should relate.

Your guests see a menu, not one price. Add the rules your menu lives by, and every plan keeps them: sizes stay in order, meals stay a better deal than their parts, and premium items keep their gap.

  • Size ladders: each size at least a set amount above the one below
  • Combos and bundles: a meal always less than its items bought separately
  • Premium gaps: a family meal at least $3 above the regular meal
  • Choose Always enforce, or Prefer, allow exceptions when the target needs it
  • See every store checked against every rule: “Meets by $0.05” or “Short $0.15”

STEP 04 · BUILD THE PLAN

Set your target and get a plan, with the reason for each price.

Enter the ticket increase you need and anything you want to hold. Quantiiv weighs every candidate price for every item and zone, picks the set that reaches your target with the least guest impact, and shows you why each price won.

  • Set the ticket target, price endings, and the most any item can rise
  • Hold items, menu groups, or zones you don’t want to touch
  • Choose how carefully to protect guest response, from growth-oriented to conservative
  • Review net impact, gross impact, and lost customer value for the whole plan
  • Open any item to see the prices considered, override one, and rerun

QUESTION“We need to raise prices.”
01 · TARGET

Start with the number you need.

Costs went up, or annual planning set the goal. Set the target and Quantiiv shows where your prices have room to move.

“We need average ticket up 2% this quarter without giving back traffic.”
CFO, quarterly planning
02 · OPPORTUNITIES

See where the room is.

Items and zones ranked by fit. Add the strong ones to the plan and leave the uncertain ones for later.

03 · DECISION

See why each price was chosen.

Each change shows its reasoning, so the conversation with your CFO or franchise council is about the business, not the math.

“$3.99, not $4.25. Past $4.25 you start losing value-seeking lunch guests.”
04 · MEASURE

Read the flow-through.

See where guests were price-sensitive and where they weren’t, and how much reached the bottom line.

Questions

What does restaurant pricing software do?

Restaurant pricing software tells you which menu prices can go up, by how much, and where, without losing guests. Quantiiv measures price sensitivity from your own transactions, builds an item-by-item, store-by-store plan to a ticket target, explains each price, and measures what the change actually did after launch.

What are product relationships in restaurant pricing?

Product relationships are the rules that keep menu prices consistent with each other: each size costs more than the one below it, a combo costs less than its items bought separately, and premium items stay a set amount above standard ones. Quantiiv checks every store against every rule and the optimizer never breaks a rule you mark as always enforced.

Is this the same as dynamic pricing?

No. Quantiiv plans deliberate, surgical price changes that your team approves and implements. Prices do not change by the hour, and nothing changes in your POS without your team doing it.

How is price elasticity measured?

From your own history: how guests at each store actually responded when prices moved. Not surveys, not panels, and not industry curves. Where the data can't support a confident read, Quantiiv says so instead of guessing.

Can franchisees see the pricing work?

Franchisees can see pricing for the locations they manage. Brand teams control plans and approvals.

Can Quantiiv run the pricing work for us?

Yes. Many brands use the software themselves. Others hand Quantiiv the whole initiative as a Strategy engagement, from diagnostic through rollout and readout, with accountability for the result.
